So there is a reason I don’t usually talk about projects while their in progress, and it’s because I am terrible at estimating how long something will take, and I have no idea how to account for unexpected challenges or emergencies.
All this to say, the game is nearly done.
There is a video installation at at Karsh-Masson Gallery in Ottawa on view now until early 2026. The installation there is excerpts from the intro and some of the game.
Steam page will be up soon, just putting together a game-play trailer now!
There are many things to be done still, but soon it’ll mostly be fine tuning things and adding details. Really re-thinking release date, so I will share that when things are finalized. I want to get everything done ASAP but I also don’t want to burn out.
From what I have right now, I am not sure how fun the game will be but it’s barely a game to begin with and I knew that from the start. It’s more of a little movie where someone is talking at you the whole time. Maybe I am underselling it, regardless I think it will be cool. I am starting to be concerned about receiving feedback from players, I just don’t want anyone to think it is stupid, or ugly. If they think it’s boring that’s fine. But I want to make sure it is at least worth the small price I will be asking to sell it, just to keep it out of the under $5 & free categories on Steam.
I will be giving out free keys, so if you happen to be reading this and you think you’ll want a key, go to proximaprojects.com and sign up for the email list!
