I ended up teaching a course in the fall, it was my first time so it really messed up my work schedule (and life in general). Basically sets the scene for the game. I haven&#8217;t imported the environment into Unity yet, but it will be the first space the player enters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube into unity <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 environment modelled<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>approximately what will and won&#8217;t be included in demo<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ideas for gameplay a better idea of the scope of the project and the programming necessary. I&#8217;ve scared myself and so I am going to pivot for a little bit and work on something a little more in my wheelhouse, I think changing gears will help me build some confidence, and break up the new things a bit &#8211; I need to learn how to make cutscenes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new idea is really just an old idea refined a little bit called DEEP SLEEP (I&#8217;m not committing to this being the final title but this is what I&#8217;ve been calling it since the beginning.) It is an interactive VR film &#8211; sort of like a choose your own adventure based on an idea I had in&#8230; 2019 probably. Anyway, It&#8217;s a much smaller and more discrete project so I think it will be nice to have something small and complete before making a demo for a project that feels very big.
